326 - 326 CAA

Bedford SB3-

  • Fleet Number: 326
  • Registration: 326 CAA
  • Year: 1961
  • Chassis: Bedford SB3
  • Engine: Bedford 4.2 litre petrol
  • Body: Harrington Crusader C41F

326 became the first vehicle to be acquired by the Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB) itself, a year after its formation. Bought in 1986, 326 was one of three SB3 coaches bought new in 1961 by King Alfred Motor Services. All three were sold to O. Porter’s of Dummer, 326 surviving through service with Totton Girls’ Brigade.

It is currently the only roadworthy example of a Harrington Crusader coach and as such is one of the rarest vehicles in the FoKAB fleet.
