The Great South Run 2025
We were asked by our friends at CPPTD (City of Portsmouth Preserved Transport Depot) if we could help them with providing an open-top bus for The Great South Run on Sunday 19th October 2025. We duly sent Leyland Atlantean HOR 590E.
When in its allocated position, it was decorated by the Alzheimer's Society events team, and was used by their volunteers as a cheering platform as the runners passed by. It even included a ukulele band, who due to inclement weather, set up downstairs at the back with just a weatherproof speaker outside so they could still be heard!
It was a wet day, but the enthusiasm of the Alzheimer's Society cheering team did not falter, they continued until the very last runner had passed.
